[FYI: The title “BBJ” refers to Bill’s Business Journey]
When I was young, I had the same flights of fancy as any other kid about what I wanted to be when I grew up. From Jedi master to rock star to New York Times Bestseller, my dreams of being heroic, imaginative, and entertaining ran the gamut.
As I matured and became a man, I couldn’t find the right vocational fit. After a string of unrelated jobs, I found my way into business writing. I was grateful for good jobs with great people at interesting companies, but they were just jobs. They paid the bills, but the work never really made me come alive. I was frustrated and angry, and nothing called to me. I felt like I was running full speed along a path that was going nowhere, except to the end of a life with no purpose.
